Bangladesh Drishtihin Foundation

Following extensive travels and studies, the Founders of this organization, felt way back in 1988-89 the paucity of preventive, curative and rehabilitative services in the country and saw with dismay the increasing numbers of persons who are getting blind in every year. Recognizing this felt needs, with the assistance of a few like mind philanthropists and citizens , the BDF was formed under the leadership of Golam Mostafa, PhD on February 07, 1989 as a non-profit organization with a program of activities for the purpose of assisting vision care, inclusive education and rehabilitation services for the visually impaired to achieve equalization of opportunities and full participation in the main stream of society.
