We operate programs in Community- based Rehabilitation with the component of inclusive education, Orientation and Mobility, social integration, economic integration, vision care services, lobbying and advocacy for introducing reasonable accommodation in higher education and employment sector, awareness generation for the prevention of blindness in association with the local communities. BDF works in situations of poverty and exclusion, Placement and Employment, disaster management, advocacy for the establishment of reasonable accommodation at all level.
The mission of the Foundation is to fight to achieve equalization of opportunities for people with disabilities including visually impaired in Bangladesh. To assist the people in transformational change through the power of innovation by mobilizing partners, donors, and volunteers. BDF has been a leading innovator in the delivery of vital eye care services to the Bangladesh’s most vulnerable including children, women and elderly.
