Message from the Chairperson
Welcome to the official website of the Bangladesh Drishtihin Foundation (BDF).
Our journey began in 1988-89 after witnessing the stark lack of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services for the visually impaired in our country. Faced with the dismaying reality of increasing blindness each year, BDF was established on February 07, 1989, to ensure vision care, inclusive education, and full social participation for those in need.
At the heart of our work is a steadfast Mission: to fight for the equalization of opportunities for people with disabilities, including the visually impaired, in Bangladesh. We strive to drive transformational change through innovation and by mobilizing a dedicated network of partners, donors, and volunteers.
Our Vision is a world defined by solidarity and inclusion, where every individual—regardless of their physical challenges or economic hardship—can live with the dignity and respect they deserve.
